Mareas International Home school Samara, Costa Rica is a bilingual, child centered program that respects the whole child and approaches learning with respect to the multiple intelligences of our students. At Mareas everyone is part of the community and part of a supportive and welcoming family. We work together in small, challenging classes which are led by passionate, licensed, professional teachers who are able to adjust the classes to meet the needs of each particular student. Adults, and children of all ages help one another throughout each day, working as a cohesive team and sharing and building important values of respect, kindness and community.

Students at Mareas International School in Costa Rica are encouraged to explore the world around them. Classes are interactive and often involve projects, field trips and exploration. We believe that learning should be a lifelong process and building the foundations early helps students to take responsibility for their own education and future. Learning through discovery is a dynamic process which encourages creativity, critical thinking and curiosity. Through this process our students also discover who they are as individuals. All students are encouraged to cooperate, help and support one another through this process.
Our campus is located in the center of Playa Samara, ideal for walking to the beach, the forest or just around town. We do our best to make our program accessible to all. We offer classes to children of all ages from Preschool and Kindergarten to Elementary, Middle and High School students.
Mareas school is the culmination of the dreams and aspirations of a few families who came together with a shared vision to offer their children a school within their community of Samara, Costa Rica which teaches civic responsibility and respect for oneself and others while working to instill an appreciation of learning and responsibility to our environment.

Accredited- Each of our students is individually accredited in Florida. This means that grades are legal in all countries that accept U.S. transcripts.

Small Classes- Never more than 15 students in a class.

Individual Attention- Our teachers carefully adjust the work to the level of each student, so every assingment is a challenge that can be met.

Regular Schedule- We are in school from 8-3 Monday to Friday. That makes it easy for you to plan your schedule!
