Mareas is a good school in Costa Rica. I also worked 5 months in the public schools, so I know what I'm talking about. It's good to see that there is a school, where Tico kids and kids from all over the world can learn together every day of the week, not just Monday to Thursday.

They can feel free to discover themselves through the different subjects. Also, for volunteers it's a great experience! Even though they don't know you, they trust you to do your own projects, design your own classes and work with kids.

Volunteering in Mareas Homeschool is a great experience. From the second you step into the school, all of your nervousness is gone because people are greeting you like you've known them forever and make you feel instantly welcome into this family- because that's what Mareas is! One big family, where middle schoolers help out in the kindergarten, high-schoolers play hide-and-seek with the elementary school kids and everbody feels comfortable being just as he is. Awesome school! Awesome experience!

Mareas is a really good school here in Samara. They care about their children and it is like a family where everybody is welcomed. I am really happy that I had the chance to have the experience to learn Spanish in this environment. I enjoyed my time here and I can only say Thank you to everyone, I will miss you!
